Time is of no consequence
There is no up or down beyond the stars
Suffering is the great equalizer
and pain is the ultimate teacher

You don’t have to look up! Keep your head down if you wish, though belief is a great contributor.
Have you always shed a tear?
have you not counted your share of blessings?

There are laws that abate the seas, are there not?
There are laws that solder the moon to the sky
commands that maintain everything aground
and guidelines that must be followed

When you suffer, suffer greatly
Do not forget your suffering
Appreciate the choke-hold
for you will not asphyxiate

The reed is bent upon the wind
but it does not break
Do not despair, speak to the Lord
He will answer you as he has done me

Your planting was already planned
and your day of reaping will soon be here
Be gracious in your asking,
For there are those who practice what they preach!
