Welcome to Choices of the Week! Sorry for no update last week, but even now, after my vacation, I'm still getting back into the swing of commenting and submitting. It's amazing how hard it can be.
I hope everyone enjoys this installation, and I promise that I'll try to keep them as regular as possible, so be sure to stop by every Wednesday for updates!
Brian Dickenson, born and raised in the UK, has been chosen for his amazing works, his participation, and wonderful stories. Congrats, Brian!
Theme This weeks theme is new Adult Author's. These are two authors I have chosen who are fairly new, but have already made a permanent imprint on PnP thanks to not only their work, but their participation in the site. (Next week, I'll feature the Jr. version of this!)
If Peace were...Rene hasn't been with us for long, but her works have already made a permanent impression here on PnP. Unlike many other works, Rene's is one I find hard to explain...this peice, longing for calm in a world overrun with corruption, is best read to truely be understood. (Age rating: 1-127)
So Be It is a freeverse that will tug at your heartstrings. Covering over what I do believe is the greatest fear of many of us, it is a short, sweet poem of taking the greatest risk, and receiving the most painful lesson. (Age Rating: 7-127)
Once more, Jenna's made it onto the list (GO JENNA!) for a book. Rarely do I take the time to read books (my patience level is that of a toddler) but this one kept me rivetted and leaves me checking constantly for updates. A fanfiction, I am Sailor Mars...or am I? presents an intricate, twisted plot, filled with suspense, that will leave you glued to the end. A must read! (Age Rating: 10-127)
Leigh's writing has to be the most improved, and her skill and wisdom for her age seems to stand unsurpassed. A precious diamond, Joy's Sorrow shows an understanding of the balance of life and it's emotions that takes most of us till our older age to fully understand. (Age Rating: 4-127)
Nancy's journey here has been a long one, and this recent work seems to be the epitome of her greatness. A melancholy slow tune, that seems to lead the reader through a reluctant waltz, Empty Page is a gorgeous poem that will leave your heart heavy, and your mouth dropped. (Age Rating: 4-127)
A quick little haiku that is one of the best I have had the pleasure of reading here on PnP. David has managed to capture the true essence of a haiku with this peice, in a short, sweet, and beautiful work. (Age Rating: 4-127)
Debuting in November of 2001, this work makes me only wish that he had stayed with us to continue to write. An absolutely gorgeous work that seems to have been lost in the years, Little Desire of All overflows with emotion and imagery, and has made it's way into my heart. Unforgettable. (Age Rating: 4-127)
Special Dreams having debuted in July of 2003, is by writer and director, Toni Sweeney. Toni uses a unique writing style to convey a hope filled message, that I always have held close: that dreams are yours to be acheived. A family safe work, that is both beautiful and inspiring. (Age Rating: 4-127)

you misspelled piece (in your review of Sorrow by David Pekrul), but other than that, a wonderful installment to a wonderful column!!!
I love having something to look forward at the end of the week, and your column makes it happen.
You always choose the best pieces and always give the best reviews!
My congrats to anyone who made it here, it's the Nobel Prize of p-n-p!
Happy writing to you all!!!
Thank you for the recognition. As you said, I have not been on this site very long, nor do I have many poems here, but they have all been accepted as pretty good poems. I spend many hours and pages of notes trying to get them just right. Thank you again for the recognition. And thank you for recognizing the budding talent of my god child. This will be a great boost to her writing!
Um...I put a comment and for some reason it didn't come up right away like it usually does. So I'll put another one...
