Beet This!!
by M.E. (Bunny) Eastveld (Age: 54)
copyright 09-25-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

This is a challenge to anyone foolish (er, ah, I meant bold) enough to attempt to compose a story (fiction or non), (I'll just bet non is almost impossible) or poem, (formal or free verse) or song lyric (for all you lyrical denizens of MLM.com). This challenge concerns composing edifying reading material about the 20 vegetables you most love and or hate. My entry will be coming (I'm on medication at this time, and can't think any faster than your usual garden variety rock). But, I shall rise to the occasion soonly....Bunny
Vegetable List:
beets, turnips, potatoes (spuds is acceptable), tomatoes, lettuce (any variety), peas, carrots, swiss chard, okra, spinach, parsnips, parsley, corn (on or off the cob), beans (pinto, green, yellow, wax), onions, garlic, eggplant, yams, zucchini, cucumber, and, last but not least (if you catch my drift) cabbage! (veges in the same families may be substituted for those in the above list for poetic license issues: eg: crucifers: cabbage, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower....) The term "families" does NOT include "things that make you barf", or "things that are gas producers", and CL, try to keep it clean!!! Ready, (trumpet fanfare), set...(gun goes off)..go! Bunny
