Wiggles
by David Pekrul
copyright 08-19-2005

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Jelly wiggles,
Puppies wiggle,
So do little worms,
But sometimes little 'wiggle-worms'
Make timid people squirm.

Fishes wiggle,
Tadpoles wiggle,
Ears can wiggle too,
And when I'm in a happy mood,
I wiggle all day through.

Happy wiggles,
Silly wiggles,
Having lots of fun,
I wiggle in the summer sun,
Before the winter comes.

Some things wiggle,
Others jiggle,
Children when they're small,
Will learn to wiggle one and all,
Before they learn to crawl.

Hi David: I had a Hamster named Wiggles. This is a lively upbeat poem, wonderful images and language.

Now this serious monomaniac must tell you this is brilliant, and I'm pissed because I'm not gleeful or talented enough to write like this. It's humorous, rhymes and bounces along perfectly, and has a great last line. Wish I could stay down there wriggling; I hate to get up sometimes!

Cute and very funny. Made me think of something else that wiggles and how much I enjoy watching. Get your head out of the gutter it wasn't that! (Ok I did think of that too, but it wasn't what I meant!) This made me smile, Anthony

I see children wiggling as they read this happy, charming poem. wonderful rhyming and great visions of happy children jumping for joy and wiggling their little butts! I'm low on points, so, I'll conserve.
