One Person
by Kimberly Angelone (Age: 38)

Age Rating: 10 to 127

I look at you,
You look at me,
We see the same face.

You laugh inside,
I laugh outside,
Yet, we both feel the joy.

You speak softly,
I speak loudly,
We speak the same language.

You mourn quietly,
I cry out loud,
We feel the same pain.

You cut yourself,
I cut myself,
We bleed the same.

You are black,
I am white,
She is yellow,
He is red,
But we are all one person.

Interesting view of the human physcie and our relationship with one another. The use of language and the flow and rhythm are very nice.

We all have white bones, blue blood, the same encoded messages to become a human, the same, yet different. Yet when we bleed, our blood spills the same, crimson in color and telling the same tale. I like the way you pointed out the differences which are always the same. Great job. Welcome to PnP (People Need Poetry).
