Where Do They Go?

Where do they go?

When the useless try and fail again,
Where do they go?

When the non-believers look
But can't find the blessing,
Who's going to welcome them?

When the overworked begin to bleed from their hands
And stain everything they touch,
When is their break going to come?

When the adventurers are forced
To stop going,
Where is there left to go?

When the poor are struggling
And worry takes place of the children
They cry and yell when they should be smiling,
Where is their relief?

And when the broken-hearted
Lose all faith in life, you tell me,
Where is the hope?

Where do they go?

You ask very daunting questions, questions with no easy answers. This poem is a bit difficult for me to comment on, since I sense that the author has reached a level of frustration suitable for the times we live in. I want to believe that we are masters of our own destiny, but some how, I think this is a bit ludicrous. Your poem has succeeded in making me think about some possible answers to your questions. Great job, Delaney.
