You hear people say,
“It's what’s inside that counts.”
They say
“You’re beautiful inside”
They say
“Anyone worth while will take the time”
But you watch people
You hear people
You know people see you
You hear what they think
You know they think,
“What’s wrong with that person!”
“Look at how big!”
“OMG! It's so disgusting”
“I couldn’t live if I looked like her!”
“Makes you want to be sick”
“God, at least I don’t look like that!”
“People like that shouldn’t be out in public!”
You feel the pain
The hatred
The disgust
The disdain
The pity
The superiority.
You hate them
You hate how they walk
How they talk
How they complain that they’re to fat
How they whine about losing a pound.
How they act around others
Now imagine that,
Multiply it by a million
Take it to the edge of infinity
And you still
Will have only a minute idea
Of how it makes us feel.

We all have imperfections, some are in their personalities. For every strength there are weaknesses and what looks good may not be that great. This is a strong poem and I hope that one day they and you will see the true potential that you have. Keep your chin up we love you at P-N-P! Anthony
Rissa, people all over the world need enlightenment. To not accept others, because of their religion, origin, sexuality or creed is a clear indication that we are not as intelligent as we think we are. Your poem speaks volumes! Your theme is of the utmost importance and your narration provides the imagery necessary for us to see your anguish, pain and disillusionment with the world around you. Be proud of who you are, no matter how you are. There are a few of us that will value your persona and lots of us will let you know that you are important, that you are unique and that's the truth! Oh, and by the way, perfect is only God! I think your last stanza sums it all up. It is a great ending to your poem. In your first stanza, the word, here, should be hear. In your second stanza, the word, its, should be it's. Thank you for being so courageous and sharing this lovely poem.
