Anybody think a "Sailor Sun" would be good?

Well, personally I have doubts about 'Sailor Sun', because techically, the sun is a star. But it's just, they've covered everything else in our solar system...why not this? Redish hair(sorta whitish too, but NOT pink), curly, shoulder length, black eyes (to represent the darkness of space), I dunno about the uniform. red and orange are already taken. Maybe black and white...white bow, alternating black and white for the leotard, same for the sleeve thingies...back for the skirt border, white for the skirt, white boots with black outlining...I dunno. It doesn't seem right to me, but I'm doing my best here...grrrrr, my mind's on blank. I can't think of any other colors right now. Maybe something ironic, like sky blue, or sorta white (wind). HELP ME HERE!!!!!!
Okay, so this isn't the BEST sailor scout ever, but I was bored, and I've been thinking over on 'Sailor Sun' for a couple years, but I never really gave her this sorta thinking. Anybody else offer objections or ideas for 'Sailor Sun'?
(Please don't blame me if this idea is completly insane. I don't know anything at all about the Starfighter people, except that they exist, and do stuff with stars. Actually, I barely know about Sailor Moon at all, but the parts I've seen, if very few, really grab me.)

Yeah, I've thought of a Sailor Sun, too. I thought of her as a girl with blond curly hair, and a yellow and orange sailor suit. Just an idea, I'm not sure if it works, how the colors are, or anything, but that's just the way I'd've pictured her.
Also bear in mind that Naoko the characters more on the Greek/Roman deities attributed to the names rather than the planets; the influence of mythology on the series is apparent in lots of ways, like their respective powers and a number of villains. Which is why I mentioned Egyptian and Norse gods previously. Everybody's lookin' in the wrong direction when they create new Sailor Moon characters.
Pluto is no longer considered a planet, apparently, so using the sun isn't really all that insane. Although given all the comments you got on this one, it looks like it's been done to death. Maybe you could break the trend and make it a guy. Name him Apollo and make him a big brother figure or something.
There are also new planets being researched that haven't been used yet. And nobody's used the Egyptian or Norse gods, either. Brainstorm.
Hey I have created my own sailor sun and it is kind of like, I don't know it isn't that good I have now put it in my scrapbook. She is good and I have started a new sailor moon story: Sailor Moon Super R! I think!
That is a good idea because 1.I too wish there was a 'sailor sun' and 2. on sailorjupiter.com the was this story saying how sailor sun was born an the writer said that it was Darin's sister. Keep working.

Yo Euna, I wrote a book about my Sailor Sun read it and tell me if it helps! Also only chpters 1 and 2 are edtied. My hands are tied with school and the ever growing Shadow Souls, and a list of others. I am working on way to many book! But if you do do a story or book on Sailor Sun E-mail me. I would love to here your version of her. Gueseing you don't make her a he. But cheak out "The Soldier in White". Not my best but it will be better when I edtid the hole thing. So cheak it out and comment on the chapter display if you do. I would really have a book out of thw work shop. Even though it will be a long, long, long time till I get one. Hey Sailor Sun is a great idea! I started writing a story about her but gave up...it's different when you have to develop your own characters instead of building up on ones already created in the Sailor Moon series...I gave up on creating my own characters lol
