Take one step,
One simple step,
It makes a world of difference,
You can move, at long last.
First your right foot,
Then you’re left,
Alas, you are walking,
Your first few steps.
A feeling of joy,
You can finally move,
No more crawling around for you,
One obstacle gone,
With another on its way,
You will overcome it,
In every single way.
I’ll tell you my secret,
The secret many fail to find,
Joy comes only to those,
Who take the time to look for it,
Those who look in the deepest,
Darkest recesses of Earth,
Will find the power of joy,
In the smallest things.
Take one step,
One simple step,
It makes a world of difference,
You can move, at long last.
A poem I wrote, after seeing my cousin's baby boy walk with his shoes on for the first time. He was sooo cute, and he took so cute steps, they were so big because he wasn't accustomed to wearing shoes...I'll never forget it...he was so adorable ^_^
I don't know how or why this poem turned out the way it did...
