Such a Bloodthirsty Thing

it may not
be big
sometimes

Yet still
it is
such a bloodthirsty thing.

It's cold
black hands
reach out
and grab
an innocent

father
mother
child
sibling

and tear them to pieces
to watch their families
fall
to watch their lives
shatter

so why Lord
must this happen?

why should we not
talk it over
like civilized people?

are there any civilized people left?

War
it may not
be big
sometimes

Yet still
it is
such a bloodthirsty thing.

It may be between
a family
two people
two companies

And blood may not fall
but feelings will

Wow, what a dark and true poem. War is a cruel and painful things. You did a good job with this, and since I'm a dark fan I enjoyed reading it. The first line should be capitalized, but other than that there aren't any problems. You also mentioned how insolent lives are lost in this cold time. We're all feel anger and blood lust once, and if you're in a strong position look where it gets you? War. Turning families against each other is most likely one of the hardest parts of war. Good work, you described a dark and bloody topic very fluently.

I really enjoyed this poem. I haven't seen this form of poetry before, and I like it. I like how you didn't lay too much on people dying, if you don't understand what I mean...just ask me lol
