One of the first responses came from Canada. They were there before the national guard even got there. A unit of men trained in dangerous rescue from Canada were the first to arrive in New Orleans. Thank all our neighbors. We live in Texas and had family in Gulf Port, Miss. We had just been there three weeks before the storm hit. Now you can't even tell where you are on that road, everything is gone. Trees, houses and even the I-Hop we ate breakfast at are gone! It looks like the war movies we use to watch as kids. There is no words to really describe the devastation! I pray for all that were and are effected. This is a great write. Thank you my friend, Anthony
How very true. This disaster in New Orleans have left a lot of us stunned, and I think it's just now beginning to sink in with a lot of us Americans exactly what happened, you know? I know I could barely believe it...now they're saying it's toxic waters, stuff like that.
I think it's just now kind of starting to hit me, you know? Especially now that refugees and first responders are being brought to Vegas. I want to find out where, because I'd love to volunteer
I think our own citizens and neighbors can easily forget that what happened down south really was, and still is, as trajic as any disater abroad. I have sensesd a certain compacency in some who are still not getting the notion that that a disaster of this magnitude can happen on our shores. Now, though, people do seem to be coming around.
