In the water they took you from me
a sorrow lost
Love, the plans made
have broken my heart
I stopped in the field of our love
and wrote down these thoughts
just do not know how to send it to you
I 've been in the hell
and the pit of every pain
known to man
but I have always been able
to come to you for comfort
.
Reached up to the sky
begging for the sign
of forgiveness
felt the salt in my eyes
of the righteousness
and in the night
I see your face
saving me
from the domination
My being is lost
in the view of another day
with out you
and the tears come in streams
of passion screaming
burns the soul through
I've walked the coals and flame
of another heart ache
taking me back to the days
when we were the gift
of love living
Been taking my place
in the view of old memories
just a voice
in the dreams of used to b's
and I see you there today
arms wrapped around me
and I cry
when I need to say
I am so happy
that you found me
Dread of voices
dancing in my brain
as the wall close in on me
Lost to the solitude
of being insane
nothing matters
much to me
But I hold you
in the night
I lift my soul
as it takes flight
and I know it will be alright
when I join you
Come to me heaven
let me be in the silence
of the arms that love me
Water falls
in the burning of the mind
as the soul lets me free
And God I know you are there
lord I know you care
as you lift me to the place
where all is safe
and my heart stays there for
I 've been in the hell
and the pit of every pain
known to man
but I have always been able
to come to you
for comfort

Another moving ode-like poem, Walter and move me it did. Often the saddest things in our lives are the greatest motivators. I wrote some of my best music when separated from someone I loved dearly, and though in anguish, I found release. That's the power of love and poetry. Best Always, Lyle
