Never Real.
by Sage B.
copyright 09-17-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

I love you.
I want you to be real.
I hear the grim voice that is not my own.
It echos deeply to my soul.
I try to drown out the truth.
It doesn't fade out.

Then, the tears roll down.
The truth sinks in.
You'll never be alive.
I'll never know your touch.
I imagine the embrace.
I'll be alone forever.
Sitting in the corners.
Your voice is my company.

I know it will disappear soon.
Like the memories..
The ones I try to grasp with the shadowy hand reaching into my subconscious.

I know you're not human,
I know you can't feel,
I know you can't talk,
I know you can't love.
I don't care I want you to be true.
I'll feel for you,
I'll be your voice,
I'll love for you.

In the end, this is no fairy tale.
There is no magic.
Just like there will never be an us.
I'll carry the blackness of denial in my heart for ever now.
My heart will slowly crack.
Falling into the abyss that the air whisks it to.

A voice is in the wind of beginning and end, we seek and in the find a gentle reminder, real is as real as our hearts allow, a good thought.. Walt

Too true, too true. I have had many a fantasy that will never measure up to true life. I mean, they'll always be different. Have you ever noticed that when you fantasize about something, it doesn't come true? Today, it sort of did. See, I got called up to the office and I had a little daydream that I would see the guy I liked in the halls on the way (haha hallway). Well, when I walked into the office, he was there! Anyways, I really liked your poem, I can relate to it so much (as you can probably see). The only thing:should there be a comma between, "I don't care" and "I want you to be true" on the 22nd line? Awesome!!

Ah, but the ones in our mind are always perfect and real people have flaws. If you find your Passion in the make believe world, then you won't be able to find someone real that measures up later in life! Its nice to have dreams, but you must remember that it is a fantasy! Anthony
