Dear Marcella,

I can't say that I know what you are feeling, because I was not in your situation. I can understand the pain, even if I can't grasp the entire concept of being married for 40 years, only to have the one you love, fall for someone else! The plans you made for your life and just as you are reaching the end of the battle, the celebration is halted as the prize crumbles in front of you! From your perspective there is nothing to live for and maybe your right!
I want to ask you a question and I hope you can answer it! As bad as it may seem, is death better? If your gone and I'm still here, without you, does that mean that I should end it too? I mean if it was the right thing to do then I should do it , right? I remember being jealous of your Passion for life, how just being around you,made me feel better and I wonder what will happen to me if you do what you want.
My wife, your daughter would have no one to ask how or why or what. Your grandchildren that love you, would be devastated. There is more to life than just one relationship. Even if that was the first doesn't mean it will be the last. You have so much to live for and so many that love you.I hope you can realize that you are needed to make our lives whole.
I hope you will think about what I have told you. I hope you will realize all the love that is felt for you. I know that sometimes you feel like you can't go on and maybe your right, but I hope not. I love you and I need you, Anthony
