Come You Bar Room Singers
by Walter Jones (Age: 62)
copyright 04-23-2006

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Come all you bar room singers stop for a while and sing a song of being in love with a smile, sing about leaving all of the good life behind, sing about the real feelings still left so cold in her mind.

In candle light inside the room
I speak to you of love in bloom
my heart hears every word that is said
as the wax drips down
all feel the warm that surrounds
every promise that I have made
every path is filled
with your laugh
and it keeps me
moving forward
everyday

From sneaky Pete to French champagne
we live inside the light again
as I watch the flicker of the flame
it is the lasting light
of tears in ghost of moon fears
I am still looking
for the fun to play
each tingle inky soul
comes from you
but you know
how to always light
my embers
in the pale of
night

A strum upon the stars
and voices
in the back seat of cars
bring forth
all we could and would be
a share of life's wine
and cuddles at the brink
of time
a vision few will ever see
all I have been
comes back around again
and I play your song
just for
me

I travel in light to be
a place inside your memory
and it keeps
the flames burning bright
you hold my hand
like I am new
still you know
the love is true
and it keeps
the passion so alive
tremble in the feel
of every thing that is real
and the steal guitar
sings us his song
as inside the head
of a memory instead
we both just sing
along

Three drunks like all the rest
sit close and confess
we love just to sing along
I look deep in your eyes
and make up pretty little lies
still you want to sing along
we keep the human beat
of lovers out in the street
how is that
we could have
gone so
wrong

Tape begins to roll
and the sway is soft and low
as voices mingle
into the special melody
of all that we are
playing the stars
of every hope
that came between you and me
soft the harp
and then the guitar
it starts and harmony lifts us up
to a place beyond
our wildest
dreams

Come all you bar room singers stop for a while and sing a song of being in love with a smile, sing about leaving all of the good life behind, sing about the real feelings still left so cold in her mind.

I find this to be amusing and sad. I know the way these songs go, and firmly believe there is a warring spirit in them. Everyone would be nice until jute box started up the fights would break out.
Nive write.
God bless,
judy
