Over
The battle's done
I can replace my sword in it's scabbard
The blood shed is over
My family is safe
I fought for them
And I won
And now it's Over
I am not a child any longer
I have killed more men then I can count
But, I still have my one life
Why?
Blood has stained my sword
And my soul
I did it for honorable reasons
Yet I still hold regrets
I am a hero to my family and country
But it's all wrong
I don't want praise for killing
I know I can't go back in time
I must go forward
To my happy family
A family that still loves me
I can't go back now
All I can do is look one last time at the body strewn battle field
And the only words that heal the pain in my heart are

This has to be on the mind of returning Men and Women. War is a bad thing and even those that are on the winning side, loose. The lives they were forced to take come back in their dreams and haunt them. I wish we could find a better way to handle disputes, but man is still learning and we can still hope! Good job, Anthony
