All alone
road of the lonely
if only the lonely
really awake
The lonely dream of a fulfilling wakefulness.
This had extremely clever rhyming from top to bottom. And I think I know what your trying to tell the community.
You know some of my poems break poetic rules and some people tear me to pieces for that.
But I say as long as you entertain and communicate, there are no rules to poetry.
Although the way you arrange words may sound better to some peoples ears.
That's OK, but criticism just for the sake of criticism sucks!!!!!!!!!!!
Not sure what the poem means, but as for the comments... I couldn't agree more. It does't matter what anyone else thinks, especially if you are writing for yourself. I love the constructive criticism I receive as I write for the masses (in hopes of being published) and treasure their feeback on my work. If I like what I read from them, I incorporate it and adjust accordingly. If I feel they are simply off base I shrug and laugh it off. YOu can never take it too seriously, for just as two people will describe the same incident from two different perspectives, so too with different people read into what you've written assorted perspectives based solely on their own experiences in life. :-) Continue writing with abandon, and enjoy life. :-)
