Wistful song, beautiful flow. Mysterious music to my heart.
Jean was so right in that 'Lady Moon' set it apart from another 'moon, june, spoon'.
A wonderful piece.
I love the structure and I love your rhyme pattern and the ease of rhythm and flow it engendered. "Lady Moon" added just the bit of difference to make this stand out from so many other 'moon' poems...gave it just a touch of mystery and mythology.
I liked this, it's charming. I especially like
"I think of him who once was mine!" sometimes just a line can grab you, this one did. Nice Piece of work. Amanda
Good write, I would check the fourth line from the end, I believe you meant "your" instead of you. I feel that there is a little missing from this though. I would have liked to have felt a little more expression.
I like the longing sentiment, tinged with the slightest bit of humor (the rhyme scheme does this for me). I also like the anthropomorphosising the moon as a lady, which I haven't heard before, among so many other poems dealing with the mystery of the moon.
Why does love fade? What makes someone that is loved look for more elsewhere? I don't think we can answer those questions because each story is different. This is a nice poem and easy to read and understand even if we can't find answers to the questions. Anthony
