The Tired Toad
by David Pekrul
copyright 10-07-2005

Age Rating: 4 to 127

There once was a toad,
Who was hoppin' around,
His feet were so tired;
No rest could be found.

He hopped in the water,
And hopped in the mud,
His name was Confucius,
But I called him Bud.

Along came his cousin,
A green-coloured frog,
Who told him of wonderful
things they call Clogs.

Now Bud is not hoppin',
He's clogging around,
With feet that are happy
wherever they're bound.

He hops like a frog,
with the clogs though of course.
The noise of the hopping
sounds like a horse!

Your poetry is funny
a toad named bud.
How he hopped in the water
and hopped in the mud.

The toad got dirty
but you stayed clean.
my face wears a smile
from what I've seen!

Good write my friend, Anthony

I like these nonsense poems, it's six in the morning and it made me smile, thanks David.
I'll bet this is read to all the kids.
Brian.
