Threshold Of Eternity
by Valerie Kay Jochum
copyright 05-12-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

Through tears of fear I see no light
You call to me to hang on tight
To what? I ask for I can't see,
Your hand that's just beyond my reach

If they're out there, if they care
why don't they call me, can't they bare
to get close enough to see my pain?...
that's slowly driving me insane.

Pehaps their skin is not quite thick
enough to keep them from getting sick.
It protected me for a long while
against their weapons of cheshire smiles.

I know what lies behind that look
I know the authors I've read their book
Word for word and in between
The lines is where the truth is seen.
Word for word I've comprehended
my becoming was unintended.

As lost as a traveler
Upon desert sands
I am weak from wandering
Won't you give me your hand?

Please Pull Me Back! Lord hear my plea,
From the Threshold of Eternity.
