Angel From Above
by Emily Garwood (Age: 21)
copyright 10-13-2005

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Angel from above,
Since I was Little,
I wished they would love me,
I only wanted them to hold me.

But angel from above,
That's the impossible,
My friends love me,
My friends hold me.

Angel from above,
Remember my wishes?
I wanted them to talk to me,
Say they love me.

But angel from above,
The words don't exist,
My boyfriend says he loves me,
My boyfriend talks to me.

Angel from above,
You kept me safe,
Told me where to go,
Told me who to trust.

My angel from above,
Now I've grown,
No longer in the dark,
No longer alone.

So my angel from above,
I thank you for the wisdom,
Thank you for the life and love,
Thank you for teaching me; that me is ok.

I love the inspirational theme in this poem. To identify oneself with the divine is not an easy thing to do. Angels do exist and there is much belief in that. I love the imagery you present in this poem, for hope should never be lost. It flows very nicely. Thank you, Emy!

There are angels among us, that came from above, they come in all shapes and sizes and many different disguises. We may not know who or where, all we have to realize is, they are out there, and they are our friends, our family, our angels unaware. Great write, good job, very inspiring, like to hear more, keep going, don't stop now, run with it, I love it, thank you

Gina
