  Popular Culture

Popular Culture always seems weird,
to those that have come before.
I remember listening to rock music,
that made my parents ears sore.

They cried and wined about the volume
and screamed turn that crud down!
So I had to turn it all the way up
when ever they weren't around.

It seems like every generation
has its good things and bad.
As we grow older, time moves on
and we miss all the fun we had!

We had Zeppelin, Rush and The Doors
and many others to listen to.
Now kids listen to Green Day,
Good Charlotte and Blink 182.

Music really defines the times
if its good your knees you will slap.
There were a few that weren't to cool,
Like the Disco and that Rap crap.

Our parents didn't like our music
and we don't like some of whats new.
Really it doesn't matter what others like,
only matters what is important to you.

Popular Culture changes every day
and there is always some good with the bad.
Sometimes we don't want to change,
hard to let go, of what we've had!

Well, then don't let go, if you don't want to why should you because people say so, let me tell oldies are back, and I am lovin' it! Get down, one thing though last stanza I think it would flow better if you said we had instead of you've had or "we've" whatever, thank you
