I Love her, and She Loves Me

I Love her, and She Loves Me

Why can't I have my daughter?
She is my daughter, she is my daughter
It's not fair, please give her back
I love her, and she loves me

Anything worth having is worth waiting for he said
I have waited, I have had patience
How long must I wait for something that is already mine?

I waited for her
I waited years for her
then, I waited months for her
then, I waited minutes for her to breathe

I made her, I gave her life
I conceived, I delivered
Give her back, I am her mother
I love her and she loves me

We need each other, can't you understand
she doesn't care why, she won't ever forgive you
I gave her life, I breast fed her, I put her to sleep at night
Please don't do this, please have compassion, do the right thing

This is not right,
and yes, I will fight
I will get her back,
she will come back

She is already on her way!
I can see her now!
She is in my arms now
I feel her, she remembers

I am her mother, she is my daughter
I love her, and she loves me

Gina,

Geez, you tear my heart to Pieces when you write about your daughter. I can see your overwhelming love for her. I pray someday God gives her back to you.

Great write. Very touching sentiments.

Rich

For all of it's pain and clarity, I give you a five.
Get strong, Gina! She is within your reach. I know the agony you are feeling, but perhaps the pain is keeping you from her.. it is so destructive and volatile.
You may think it is taking too long, have patience! Where she is at is only geography. Your children are still young.. and they are with their father. You won't be forgotten!
They long for you as well.
Be strong, Regina! I have seen you oh so strong and I know you can do it again for their sakes.

I know you don't want to hear that things happen for a reason! Because there is no reason why anyone should go through this that you're going through. Our government is to swift when it comes to removing children from their parents. I know that there are laws specifically designed to protect children, but in too many cases, our government acts irresponsibly by snatching children from their parents and putting them in stranger's hands. Your poem is full with anger, anguish and pain and I hope you do get your daughter back, as soon as possible, my lovely Gina!

The love one has for their child is undeniable. I hope you do get to be with her soon. After my Divorce, my Ex didn't let me see my children for a long time. As soon as I got myself settled they started to visit. I went over six years without seeing them once. Now I have a great relationship with both of them. Mt daughter gave me my second grandson. Life will get better, but you have to keep faith and don't give up. When it finally does happen it will be worth the wait(so to speak) Keep your chin up! Anthony
