Hey There, Girl
by David Pekrul
copyright 10-15-2005

Age Rating: 16 to 127

Hey there, girl, come over here,
And show me what you've got,
Please teach me something that is new,
And things that I forgot.

I wish I'd known a girl like you,
When I was just a boy,
To teach me how to be a man,
And fill my heart with joy,

For you're the perfect angel, and
A fantasy come true,
Please come and give me all you have,
And make me feel brand new.

Awaken all those feelings, that
I've hidden deep inside,
Please show me how to love again,
And make me feel alive.

Just be my sexy lady, and
I'll be your special man,
If you will give me all you have,
I'll give you all I can.

The meter and rhythm are very, very good...This would make a great country song if set to music...You have improved a lot with your rhyme and accented positioning of words, really makes a difference in the flow of the poetry...It also sounds a bit like you may thinking of buying a red convertible to ride around in through a mid-life crisis (just kidding.
