I did not really want to go away
I changed my mind once or twice
life at home was not that bad
in fact it was really nice,

The need for adventure was too strong
I could not hold on any more
I packed my bags and said goodbye
as I walked out of the door,

I headed off into the night
my tail between my legs
I did feel sad, I thought I might
but I have no regrets,

My family they should understand
they knew what I was like
I was not at home much anyway
I was always playing outside,

I think about them every day
and quite rightly so
for they gave me everything
I was their little cat Leo

Aww... *smile* I love cats. Allergic, but love em! Reminds me of the movie CHOCOLATE... :)

Yes Betty! I think I am wearing Sunny down, well I think I am. Perhaps this is just a ploy from herto get me off balance, I am sure I will find out soon enough lol, thanx for commenting as a true supporter of this Highlander is always welcome....john

Bev, I think Horsey is saying just that to your nephew, I am sure he is...Some animals need to let their basic instincts take over some times and I guess that is what they do~smile~ john

Great understanding of Leo's need for freedom, he was an appreciative little guy, though. Very nice, John (does Sunny mean the feud is over or she's going to wait a little longer to "take you out of the picture?"

Oh John that was too sweet! Is this what Horsey is telling my nephew - not to feel sad when he goes away because he is having fun outside with the world-that it was simply time to explore. **smiling** Enjoyed this poem from the point of view of a cat.
