Fly Away
by Mika L. (Age: 15)
copyright 10-21-2005

Age Rating: 4 to 127

The cold wind blowing against my face
as I wait here in the rain
you pass me like i'm nothing
i'm just another something

I keep calling your name
but you hear no sound
and I run to you
but all you do is turn away

Why dont you anwser my call
why dont you care for my tears
happiness is so far away
but when you are here
I know what happiness is

Tears falling down my cheek
and onto the ground
as I stand here
with you passing me

I talk to myself
sitting on the ground
"Come back to me"
"Dont leave me here"

Locked away in the darkness
crying,
wishing

Kneeling on the ground
as tears fall down
I reach out my hand
and call out your name one last time
lets fly away
to the land of enternal happiness

This is a fantastic poem. You really took time to find the right words to express the feeling in your poem. This makes me think of a fairytale;sometimes it has sad parts and other times it has part of hope for happiness.

So pretty...so dark. I like it. And no matter what you think, it is very nice...
