Step right through now, don’t be scared
This is the new life for the living impaired
Pull up a chair now, I’ll explain it to you
These are the gates you have to go through
Please don’t cry now, don’t shed a tear
You must have known your end was near
Come now I’ll take you by the hand
And we can explore this vast new land
Listen to the bells, welcoming you now
Please come in… I’ll show you how

This is the world you’ve been thrown too
Welcome my darling we’ve been waiting for you
Enter this new world, where death is life
It’s time to cause chaos, panic and strife
Roll up your sleeves, it might get rough
The deamons round here pretend to be tough
Pick up the pace now, we needn’t be late
A few more steps and you’ll be through the Gate
Look! There they are now, the Gates of Hell
The place that he built after he fell
Aren’t you in awe of such a wondrous place
Just wait ‘till you see his glorious face
Step up a bit now and go right in
Just you remember it’s the place of sin
This is your home now, what do you say?
Oh, don’t you cry girl, you’ll be okay.

Welcome, welcome one and all
This is the place where Empires fall
Welcome my dear, this is for you
In this place where nightmares come true
Step over the thresh hold, it isn’t far
Come meet the brilliant ‘Morning Star’
I know this ain’t Heav’n, there is no such place
Oh that was worth it for the look on your face
Why do you stumble? Pause to rethink?
I have something to say to make you spirits sink

I know on the card it says a ‘heavenly place’
A fluffy white cloud near the Pearly Gates
Well I guess I lied, it’s what I do
Welcome to Hell, we’ve been waiting for you

Welcome, welcome one and all
This is the place where Empires fall
Hullo … Satan, how do you do?
This is the place where nightmares come true
Welcome one and welcome all
This is the place we built after the Fall
Welcome home, it’s where you stand
Come in now my dear, just take his hand.

**Ok, so this one is border line song...as well as border line insane, but that's where all the fun is. I did this after reading Paradise Lost, it ispired a lot of different things, none of them very happy. Thought I find this one is atleast a bit more upbeat. -grin-**

Talk about eerie! You're just as eerie as I am.
However a very good write and even though long, held my interest from beginning to end.

This is very, very, well written. It is almost haunting, yet surreal, but the existance of Hell is very real. But as you have stated, it was created after the fall of Satan and his angels. It was and is not intended for man, yet many will join him there because they have refused to accept the only way out, which is through the death and resurrection of God's only Son.
This poem has inspired me to write one called "Welcome, My Child", written from Heaven's standpoint. Watch for it. Hopefully I'll have it done soon.
