You were borne of dust
Yet your house you cremate?
From where you ascend, the grass grows
Grass that feeds cattle
Cattle that turns to grass
Yet your house you cremate?
Go back to dust;
Where you belong
You are not above grass
nor better than cattle!

This would make one think their life through. We are all here in the image of God, but whom is better,animals or people? I guess it depends what your looking for! Anthony
A place to stop, a soul to view, a write about man, creation, more or less, dust and dirt, which is which and what part are we, ashes and sack cloth, cattle on the altar, burned.. Great write.. Walt
Roger, you are an intriguing and sometimes hard man to understand. On the surface, I would say this is simply a poem about your views about being buried versus being cremated. But I think I know you too well, and there is much more under the surface (no pun intended). I don't know if I'll be able to figure this one out, but I still like it.
