A Friend Triangle
by Euna P. (Age: 15)
copyright 04-18-2006

Age Rating: 7 to 127

A
Point
to be made
and heard by others
who won't listen to anyone.
Three points are so little, and yet
they can change the meaning of one's life.
Some say friend triangles don't work at all, but
while they last, they work well for a while until the fall
and the three become just two, no longer whole and full as they once were
but a single line. To me that is better than being a single dot
alone, and without companionship to help you when you are down.
Down in the deep end, and then there will be someone to pull you out.

Maybe a friend is good, but to me, two friends are better because
there are more people to cover you where you are weak
and there is more unity between the three, although
they may end quickly or they may end slowly.
With three, I feel more whole, and fuller
than when I am alone, or with one.
With two, it's okay because the
relationships run deeper but
it hurts more if you fight.
With one, it's bad
because there
is no one to
help when
you are
alone.
One.

This is a very nice poem, I like how you made the shape of a triangle to get the message through deeper, and what a message it has! You know I just figured out, you're absolutely right; I myself have two best friends, and though it doesn't run as deep as just with two people, we're hard to separate. Thanks for the message it was great!
