I’m Grasping In The Air

I'm grasping in the air to feel your hand
But I can't feel it in the darkened day
Straining to hear your wisdom in my ears
No sound yet some how I hear you
Visions of you aren't seen with my eyes
Thou I know that you stand here beside me
Blind to others yet I know that you're there
If ever I need your invisible arms about me
Listening perhaps to what's said with my mind
No others have heard that inner whisper
Will what's in my head be brought to judgment
Along with what I've done outside me
Thankful to have your guidance about in this world
Yet fearful of what is to come with my body
Will you stand up as counsel at court with me?
Or testify as my earthly guardian Angel against me
Have I heard your sweet inner voice correctly?
Your counsel that you have been assigned to offer me
Someday face to face we'll look in each other's eyes
Then thanks to you I'll give properly
