So Many Questions
by David Pekrul
copyright 11-08-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

It's a strange old world we live in,
With its many twists and turns,
There's many things that we don't know,
And many things to learn.

Like why do Salmon swim upstream,
In order that they spawn?,
And beat themselves upon the rocks,
Until their life is gone.

And why do people waste their time,
To chase a bit of gold?,
To find out in their later life,
Their treasure's dead and cold.

And why is our survival, so
Impressed upon our minds?,
That we see only what is ours;
To other's needs we're blind.

And who is it that made the Earth,
To spin around the Sun?
This question will be asked by us,
Until our days are done.

There's many questions to be asked,
But answers are so few,
But we will keep on asking things,
Like What, Where, Why, When, Who.

I'm going to send you a link to a poem put to animation later...it talks about something like this, and compares us all to monkeys. It's incredibly funny.

We're all determined to keep asking, because we want to know. Curiousity killed the cat, but it makes a murderer out of a man. We'll never have these questions answered, but we're determined top keep killing others over ideas that will soon be mythology--just like the Greek gods.

This is a beautiful work...I really enjoyed the read.
