Anyway
by Lyra M. (Age: 16)
copyright 11-09-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Anyway,
Your heart is shattered,
Your mind is broken.
When you believed that the Birds
and the Wyrms
could never control your soul,
you believed wrong
my child.

The world is darkened for what may seem forever,
The windows of your former home are broken.
Seperated from friends
to be forced into camps
numbered and organized,
so terrible
traumatizing.

The world is about to end,
Or so what everyone said.
It's just the end of humankind
or maybe
just maybe
it isn't.

'Cause
There is one light,
Five travellers from another world.
One raised in years of poverty,
One brought finally to the good,
One woken from the sleep of centuries,
One who runs from everything,
And one who simply seeks the love that has been lost for such a long time.

And anyway,
In the end there will be peace again,
The worlds combined
at last
with a gem
more precious than any other.
The gem that they call
Love.
