It was late in October and Serena and Amy were out in the park talking. "Amy have you noticed how funny Melvin is acting lately?" Serena asks and Amy responds,"Yes he has been acting strange!" They continued walking toward a building on the campus at their school. "Serena what do you think Melvin is up to?" "I'm not sure Amy, but don't say anything to him about it. I don't want him to know we are on to him!" As they were rounding the corner of the building they saw Lita.
Lita was caring a very large box and almost ran over Serena and Amy. "What are you doing with that box, Lita?" Amy asked. "Its a box for Melvin and Mr. Smith wanted me to take it to him." Serena looks puzzled, "What's in it, Lita?" "I don't know, but it's not very heavy." Lita said while raising it up and down easily. "We were just talking about the fact that Melvin has been acting strange and now he gets a big box. Somethings up!" Amy looked puzzled. They decided to walk with Lita to Melvin's house. They rang the bell, but no one was home so they had to leave the box in the back yard at the door. "Serena,I wish we could look inside the box. Lita did Mr. Smith say anything about it?" Lita just shrugged her shoulders and the three of them walked off.
Meanwhile over at the Gym, Amara and Mina were trying to get Hotaru to start liking Phys ed., but to no avail." I just don't like being physical!" Hotaru added, "I will be here if you ever get hurt, but I don't want to be in the gym anymore! " " I just don't understand you being a scout and all, I figured that physical exercise would keep you in shape." Amara was frustrated. Mina just laughed ," Hotaru has her good points and if she doesn't want to work out it will be OK" "We are still all going out this Halloween aren't we, Hotaru and Mina?" " Yes, Amara we are all going together!" Mina said as they were leaving the gym. There was going to be a Halloween party at the school and all the scouts were going together. Lita was even cooking some food for the party and the Star Lights were going to perform. "Mina are you going to sing with Kou Seiya?" Hotaru wanted to know. " You know I never have a problem getting up and performing! So if they will let me, Mina will sing her heart out!"
Melvin got back to his house and finds the box in the backyard. " Yes it's finally here! This year I'm going to have the best costume!" Melvin takes the box inside to open it up. Once inside the house, Melvin tears open the box and sees his Halloween costume for the first time. " This is so cool! I can't wait to see all their faces!" The door bell rings and Melvin goes to the door and finds Darien. "What's up Darien?" " I was headed over to the school gym and wondered if you wanted to go?" Darien asks. Melvin smiles,
"Yea lets go I want to see where everyone is going to be Monday night. What time are we all meeting at Reenie's?" Darien shakes his head,"I think we are supposed to be there at seven!" The boys start off to the gym. Trista and Michelle were standing near the gym when the boys walked up and they started talking, "Hi guys where are you two going?" Michelle asks. "We are going inside to play basketball, do you want to play with Darien and me?" Darien snickers, "We can play boys against girls." Trista being a Scorpio and one that takes on all challenges replies, " You boys won't be mad to be beaten?" Melvin laughs, "Oh it's on like Donkey Kong now. No mercy for them Darien" They all go inside for the game!
Serena and Amy were back at Serena's house and they again started to talk about the holiday coming up. "What are you going to the party dressed as Amy?" " I'm not sure yet what I want to be, I would really like to just be me once! You know what I mean?" Serena had an idea and asked Amy,"What do you think about going as a couple of Zombies!" "Well your wardrobe won't need to be upgraded for that!" Amy said while giggling. "What are the others going as, Amy?" " I don't know, lets go over to see what Lita's going to be!" Serena turns and the girls head off towards Lita's. When they arrive at Lita's they find her on the phone talking to someone about Halloween. " Why do we all have to come over to your house, Melvin?" " I have my costume here and I want for everyone to go to the party together, besides you guys all owe me at least one small favor. Please?" Lita always likes it when the boys beg! " OK we will meet at your house tomorrow." Lita hangs up the phone and asks the girls, "Do you want to go to the Gym? I hear there is a great basketball game!" They all run off to the gym!
Melvin is dribbling up the court and there are only a couple of minutes left in the game. Darien is under the goal as Melvin passes the ball. "Aliyoop, two points!" Darien yells as he dunks the ball in the goal. "We're down by two, Melvin. Let's get that ball back!" Darien jumps, slapping at the inbound pass from Trista. Michelle catches the pass and starts a fast break for the other goal," Trista is running up the lane as Melvin steps in front of the pass from Trista and steals the ball. Dribbling quickly, Melvin stops and drains a three pointer. "Yea, way to go Melvin! We're up by one! Defense!" Darien screams as the ball whooshes past him to the waiting hands of Trista. "Run Michelle!" Trista throws the ball down the court to Michelle whom was running the far side. Michelle stops and shoots as time runs out! Swish right threw the basket! "We win, Girls rule!" Trista shouts and the girls give each other high fives. " It's only a game." Darien says. Michelle replies,"Wouldn't have been if you two had won." Lita and Amy run over to congratulate the girls. " Trista, you and Michelle are great, don't you think Amy?" " Yea those boys will have their tails between their legs for a while now, Lita." Serena goes over to talk to Darien and the others pick up all their things to leave the Gym. Melvin says, " At least I'm going to win this years costume contest!" Serena giggles, "What are you going to be Melvin?" "I told you all that I would show you Monday night and that is when I will do it!" Lita says rather disgustedly, "That's only tomorrow!" "Yea and I will see you all then" and with that the kids all go on their ways.
Monday finally arrives and the night that everyone had been waiting on was here. Reenie was being a great little hostess passing little sandwiches around that her mother had made. Hotaru, Amara and Mina were standing in the back of the room. Amy was talking to Lita and Trista and Michelle were eating sandwiches off the tray when Darien knocks at the door. Serena runs over and opens the door and asks, "Where is Melvin?" " He's right behind me and will be here in a minute" Darien replies with a grin. Just then the door flies open and everyone hears Melvin's voice, "Here I am!" Everyone looks around and gasps! Melvin screeches loudly, "I'm Invisible!"
