My Night Out

You know, I've never really been the kind of person to actually go out at night. Well, I have been in Technical School for two weeks now and I decided to go out with my room mate on Vetrans Day. There was a club which was having a dance, so that is where we went.
There is one thing about me that is different from everyone else. I have no idea how to party. I was at that dance club for five minutes before I got bored and left. I felt kind of bad for it, too. My room mate paid for me to get in.
But the truth is, when you grow up in an enviromnent where you aren't allowed to get out and then you go to basic military training like I did where you are told where to go and what you are going to to dext, it doesn't really help things out.
There really isn't any point to this writing. The only thing that I have to say is this: If you don't like to dance or party like me, don't bother going out with someone who does. You'll end up being a party pooper like me. Thanks for reading!

Most people feel "out of place" when they are out of their normal environment. The party was not the problem it is just that your social skills are not caught up with the rest of you yet. You have been told everything except how to feel and there were guidelines for that in the service. The night life was great when I was young, but now I'm older and it doesn't interest me as much. You should have given it a little more of a chance, but you can interact with others in other places than a bar or dance club. You seem to be a well adjusted person so I know all will be OK with you.
