Into The Castle
by Leigh G.
copyright 11-15-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

I stood there in front of the castle I had seen miles away standing on the pedestals. The castle was huge as were the doors protecting the entrance. The ground was stone with trickling water over it. Just enough to been seen shimmering over the uneven blue stone. I walked forward in a trance to the doors. The slowly opened as I walked to them. As I did I was in the entrance hall. There was a upper floor that was only a walled in pass. The railings were stone, cracked, and broken, and so was the floor I stood on. There were stares leading up too a double door. This one was only a few feet taller than my 5'0 feet. The stares were broken and uneven. Yet I had to walk on. Behind those doors lied what I needed. What? I don't know. But it is there. Maybe the truth... Maybe something entirely different. There was a glowing blue sphere in the middle of the doors holding them tight. Binding them for entirety. Until the hands of the reincarnated opened them. The reincarnation must be of the person who placed the sealing sphere. And all the singe leaded that it was me. these doors have drawn me all my life. Even before I was a wonderer. Yet only a wonder in my dreams. How this was possible? Where I was equivalent to earth? I don't know. I just need to reach those doors. They held all the answers. I walked up the slippery stones and to the door. The sound of trickling water was every where. All over. I looked up in the middle of the room and looked up and saw the broken celling. There was lightening cutting the sky, and thunder ripping the time. I walked up there stared and was now in front of the door. I held up a hand and touched the sphere. It glowed softly and then with a flash of blue light, inscriptions on the walls came to life. Designs every where. So many I couldn't trace them all. The site would be beautiful if they didn't begin to move and show sens from thousand of years ago. Blood, death, and love. The last who set this sphere was in pain... Lost love... So many emotions. I felt every flash of emotion that person had. My hand lingered on the sphere, and sens kept playing. the castle seemed to repair its self. As the blue strands of light, swirled around the runes of The Castle Of Mist, the sphere I had my hand on shattered and the Door Opened. Some how i realized that this was the place... The Door to all the Worlds... The only thing left to do...Is reach it in the World Of The Living... So we can reach... The rest of the worlds. We are only one tiny piece... Of something much greater... We must all reach it... One way or another... We must reach... The End Of The Worlds...

Wow. Such a meaning. Look at mankind. We have such power. But we are so small, in comparison to the reality of life. Excellent word choice, and mesmerizing theme. Might need some editing with spelling and grammar, but in a story like this, it doesn't matter. Wonderful. Simply magnificent.
