Alone with Your Thoughts
by Euna P. (Age: 15)
copyright 11-23-2005

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Thoughts can take you to funny places.
They can be on a problem
or a funny thing someone said.
They can reflect on your day
and on yourself as well.

Interesting to think.
Take a moment
and look around yourself
when you are in your room alone.
Try not to think anything.

Not to think anything is hard
but just let yourself be blown away by the imaginary breeze
that is flowing across your face.
Fly into the sky and look down
on the quilt below you.

Don't think anything, but just look
and see everything around you.
Let yourself be taken by the beauty of
the natural world around you.

Dive down into a forest
and fly through the leaves as they tickle your face.
Become part of a breeze
blowing over a pond.

Then feel your vision shatter
into a thousand shards
as a voice calls you back into your room.
A demanding, and slightly irritated voice.

You come back to your room
slightly dizzy.
But full to the brim with
exhilaration of the dream.

This has happened all to many times to me.

Ahh, dreams. What would we be without our dreams? Even though, I also think the best when I'm in bed whether it be day or night. Whenever it's vacation I just brainstorm for about an hour before I get up and start my day. I just enjoy being able to think undisturbed. It's where I come up with ideas to solve problems, ways to avoid my parents, ideas for my writing, and the writing that doesn't make it to PnP. And since all my recent poems are so crappy... Then again, when don't I think all my poems are crap? Anyhow, so my language doesn't make this work 10+, :), you did a good job with this. I'm sure many people can relate to this, and I like the flow and the rhythm. You need to add a few capital letters though. :) Hmmm...I'm getting toward the end of my mission to read all you're works!

May the divine darkness be with you,

hey Euna,

I thought that this poem was wicked awesome XD. The imagery was amazing, it made me feel like I was right there with you. Daydreaming, and meditating is a good way to calm yourself down. Well, for me it is ((I should know...I'm a hothead lol)). Awesome poem. 5 stars.

P.S I submitted a NEW poem. OH EM GEE!

You really had me 'traveling' with you! Being the breeze on a pond gave me butterflies in my tummy! I could even see the ripples on the water.
Great write, as usual. You are a natural at this.
Do your studies and do something with this...
Debbie
P.S. I think, on the last line, you meant 'too' many times..
