  Kermit's Greens Are Seen

Kermit's Greens Are seen

Kermit's got a brand new toy,
fluffy soft and white.
He plays with it most everyday,
he's "up" with it all night.

On the floor or in the bed
where ever he is able.
Home for lunch or a late brunch,
likes to do it on the table.

The furry bear does not care
just who could be spying.
It plays the game and calls his name,
and screams like it is dying.

Kermit loves to take a ride,
and does it all the time.
A little stroke a little poke
this can't be a crime!

A pig was called on the frog,
the shit did hit the fan.
Said you'd be true, but I caught you,
Miss piggy don't understand.

Kermit said, "It's in your head,
this is not what is seems."
The Pig did squeal, "It looked real,
I know cause I saw your greens!"

The ride you've taken, gets you no bacon.
I don't think that you care.
For what I've seen, you keep your greens
and give them to the bear!

Kermit's loss, for the cost
is no pork for the poking.
he's at home, all alone.
His own greens he is stroking!

This was written for a picture of Kermit humping a teddy bear! It was a contest on another site. Wish I could have gotten the picture! Anthony

A super poem, but banned on Sesame Street. I laughed from top to bottom, especially the last line. great rhyme and rhythm.

Another great poem for the master rhymer!

How goes it?

Rich

Different strokes for different folks, or so the saying goes... I honestly do not know where you're going here. I've read it a few times and I'm as lost as the pig. I don't like to leave anything uncommented, so I find it necessary to post my comment. But I find it strange that you refer to Kermit, yet you have a picture of Porky Pig heading the poem. I think I know what's behind this piece, no pun intended, but I'm a bit consternated as to the effect you're looking for. I can't say that it's a children's poem! I don't know my friend, I think you might be staying up too late watching Sesame Street :)
