On this Christmas eve I want to say to everyone, have a wonderful life. We all have dark times and things in our past, but don't let them hold you back. For my present to you I post this: "Stumbling Blocks" I hope you get something from this that will encourage you to climb the mountain in front of you! Anthony
Stumbling Blocks
We all have our Stumbling Blocks
that keep us from reaching our goals.
We all have our secret past
something behind us that holds.
Those secrets could be shared by two,
but sometimes though you want, there not
and when we reach the end of the rainbow
there is not always Gold in the pot.
Yet keep on striving to be number one.
Don't settle with being number two.
For getting over those Stumbling Blocks
is something that you must do.
If to live in the future, you must forget the past
and sometimes this can be hard.
Remember to live you must always grow
for your heart will be stronger where scared.
Everyone must be their own person.
For no human can be held in a cage
and someone not given the chance to be free
will strike back with all of their rage.
Remember with faith you can get over
all of your bruises and knocks.
And know that you're not the only one,

As usual you have a great and loving message for us. If we read your poetry everyday, we would all be better persons. It was mostly a well-written poem, but I think the second stanza could be improved a bit in rhythm,
So everything that happens to us in life is like one or two blocks falling and we just have to suck it up and keep building the blocks to get to our future our destiny and survive in this world and as we build the blocks again solve the problem and accept it. It's a good way to learn in life and blocks is definatly one way to express the problems we have and the way to rebuild our lifes. Very good poem and well written thank you.
Yes, yes; God enters through the wounds and there's grace in suffering. If there wasn't, we wouldn't need Him; we'd all be perfect, without need for religion or spirituality. I'm glad to be part of the human race-- that there's spirituality in imperfection.
Thank you, Anthony, for reminding me.
This should encourage us all to look forwards and not backwards. Christmas is a time of new beginnings. Let's remember God's gift to man; through Him we can make a new start.
