God Blessed You

  God Blessed You

There are many things to do in this life.
Bills to pay, dealing with the strife.
We find ourselves in need of many things,
that love conquers and friendship brings.

You must try to tell those that you love
and always give thanks to God above.
Try to meet each day with many smiles.
It will help you walk the many miles.

We aren't always able to walk the path alone
so when friends are away, use the phone.
Tell them each and every day you can.
Try to make sure they understand.

They are in your prayers and in your heart.
You think of them when you are apart.
We need our friends to carry on,
we feel their loss, when they are gone.

We laugh and sing and sometimes cry,
but friendships help the times go by.
So laugh whenever you get the chance.
If the option arises, take the dance.

Live life each day like it was the last.
You can't get back what is in the past.
Smile each and every chance you get.
The secret of good life, this is it!

Tell your friends just how you feel,
your need is great and your feelings real.
Tell friends and loved ones, "I Love You!"
You'll be loved in return, for God Blessed You!

David is right this is a great new year's poem.

We leave the old year with friends we greet the new year with friends. Its a very light upbeat poem with sincere message.

A true work of art!

How often we cant't say what really should come perfectly natural to us. When we are just being ourselves, there should be nothing to it. Nicely written without over-sentimentality.

This is a wonderful poem with which to start the new year. I think this is the smoothest sounding poem that I have ever read of yours. It flows off the tongue like water. Very, Very nice.
