Dark in every corner
Anger in the night
A twisted view of happiness
Or shard of any light
A confused soul in memory
Of whom it was to be
A lost heart of sorrow
That hope would never see
A raging storm of terror
A victim to its will
Yet it controlled the wrath
And had a void to fill
Empty pages swept the plane
And flew into the void
Any shard of happiness
Was sure to be destroyed
Yet still a light still lingered
And held fast onto some hope
Pulling through the darkness
With readiness to cope
But it was just an ember
Nothing more to see
But that shard of happiness
Meant the world to me.

To me, the ember of light, the 'shard of happiness', is definetly the best thing in the world. In times when I feel nothing good is happening...guess what my 'happiness' is? ANIME!! I think of my fave anime characters and think about how they were able to pull through absolutly ANYTHING and then I get all excited and attack my own problems. Sorta weird I know...but it works most of the time. This was very good, and I view it a bit differently than the others, I think. I view it like a poem of hope that can't be destroyed, the hope that all souls have, if they could search to find it.
