Where In Hell Do They Go?
by Richard Reed Jr
copyright 02-08-2006

Age Rating: 10 to 127

A mystery to me
All the lost objects
Gone---where?

Sunglasses, pens, umbrellas,
Even a friend or two
Here---a moment ago

When needless---everywhere
When needed---nowhere
To be found

Confounding---
How they come and go
Ghostly things---unreal

These vagabond articles---
If you lose one give no care
Look!
Another poor soul has left one---
Lying over there

I love your poem of course, but I want to comment on your comments, I was reading them, it seems that everybody was talking about meds, and I was like what did I missed, what I missed was that one of the comments was from you, ha ha, I lost my train of thought, great write, good job, thanks,

Regina

Awesome! I got kick out of your poem. I think you do excellent work. Your poems are grand. Much, much better than mine. I hope I get as good as you.

I got a kick out of this, too. I think maybe people tend to think they owned these things and when their delusions wear off they're left utterly confused. Which is why you don't wake a sleepwalker. Interesting structure, too.

I'd say more but sleep deprivation does weird things to my head.
