Forever Regret, a song
by Kat Voletto (Age: 23)
copyright 02-18-2006

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Spoken:
It starts when it stops being us and becomes me and
You
Whoever told you love is beautiful
Lied
There's no wise man to tell you what it's all
'bout
I hate myself for always being so
Loving
After all is said and done there is just
Me
Nothing left but the bitter tears that last
Forever

(whispered continuously) Forever regret...

You'll be my forever regret
So sad for all the life I haven't lived yet
I bet you tomorrow I won't be ready
To live with this pain forever.
I won't be sorry for the trail of dust
If I must be
Then I'll say so
I wish it was time now,
Time to let go...

Where were you yesterday?
A thousand miles behind
My final hour, last to repent
Over the memory of my forever regret

How many times did I say goodbye in my sleep?
I wanted to go back, I couldn't stop to cry
Running away from the drama
Turn back the clock to the night we were one
All the silly things we did to have fun
I'm so sick of wasting these dreams on you
Why didn't you stop me?
And save me from the lies
Damn, so sorry
After all of these times...

Where were you yesterday?
A thousand miles behind
My final hour, last to repent
Over the memory of my forever regret

(guitar solo)

Oh, I wanna forget you forever regret
As the bruises heal and the road gets longer
Everyday I'm still getting stronger
Oh, I'm gonna forget you yet!

I feel as though I may only be giving it unfair judgment, I would really need to here the music or at least read it to be fair in my own judging.
However, I certainly know enough to give it three points.

Well done. Have you put this to music yet? I'm not sure if it would sound better as a rock tune or a slow piece, but whatever, it speaks with great emotion.

We say what we feel at the time we feel them, but we don't always feel the same for long. Love is to be enjoyed while it is there, for it sometimes goes away. Too bad it doesn't always go away for both that are in it, at the same time! You will never forget, but you will move on one day. Anthony

So unforgettabe at times people become in our lives. You fight with all you are to delete them from your memories only to hold on to one precious moment and then another. Soon there after all you are left with is regret growing a seed that will bloom if feed. Excellent write.

I really like this, even though it isn't finished. You put a great amount of emotion in this, and it speaks volumes. I like the second last stanza the best, although the rhyming scheme throws me off a bit, it is still good. I don't know if you have a pattern worked out or not, but I think a more solid one would help bring out the content better.
