Oh No Not MENopause!

  Oh No Not MENopause!

I never did ask Santa Claus
To give to her this MENopause
She wakes at all times of the night
Oh my God what a fright

I love her so, she is my wife
this is tough, this change of life
She's happy now, but not for long
I never know what the hell is wrong

I know that this is a little weird
my wife has started growing a beard
She has new favorites, but I'm not one
and I try real hard, but it's not fun

I see her cry and bow her head
I felt so sorry for what I've said
I say you're pretty,she says I'm not
and becomes cold then back to hot

I write this poem as sort of a joke
yet for MENopause there's no antidote
So I sit here and wear a half-hearted grin
comfort her through this time she's in

She's my partner and loving wife
We'll be side by side for my whole life
In our marriage there's no escape clause
So we're both going through...MENopause!

I can relate.. I think I'll print this one for my husband. You have a couple of good pointers in there!
I see that I'm the first woman to comment.. come on, girls.. don't be shy! This is one of those subjects group therapy is all about.. ya got to have some support! ha ha..
Until now, I rather HATED harmones being blamed for everything.. now I'm kinda grateful to have an explaination!

This is rather cute. The rhymes are very nicely done(not forced)and it is quite fluid. I also think that menopause is the culprit for so many marital fights. It is nice to see that you aim to comfort your wife in her time of need. I particularly like the end. Very nice. There are a few typos, though. Clause is Claus, "I fell so sorry," You meant, "felt." and halfhearted is half-hearted.

"If Mama's not happy, no one's happy".
This is so funny. Life will have its own way and we all have to adjust to it. But why is it called MENopause; it's like us guys get blamed for everything!
