Lord, Hear My Prayer
by David Pekrul
copyright 02-03-2006

Age Rating: 7 to 127

O Lord, I've wandered far from Thee,
Please hear my prayer and hear my plea,
I need Your love to set me free,
To be the person I should be.

You came to rescue me from Hell,
And give me water from Your well,
To break the curse of Satan's spell,
So in Your Heaven I can dwell.

Please live within my heart today,
So I will never, ever stray,
And lead me all along life's way,
In Jesus' name I ask and pray.

Amen

This is a really awesome poem. It made me cry. The poem brings me back to when I accepted Jesus into my life. I am looking forward to reading some more of your poems. Thanks

David, thanks for reminding us of our Judeo-Christian roots. Today, especially, with the onslaught of fanatical Islam, we need all the prayers we can muster! Christianity has been maligned and proselytized for decades and it is getting worse - the neo-fascists, and extreme liberals are working with the other side (the Islamo-fascists) . They don't realize they are committing suicide by giving Islamic radicals a pass. It's ok these days to put a cross of Jesus in urine and call it art, but how dare we publish a cartoon of Muhammad with a turban shaped in a bomb. We must resist Islamic bullying. All symbols of Christianity are banned in those Muslim countries. Many clerics have already declared that their intention is to convert or kill infidels. The thing that disturbs me is where are the outspoken Mullahs denouncing the violence for this 'religion of peace,'? Their silence says it all. Keep those prayers coming. We are in desperate need of them!
