Holy Justice
by David Pekrul
copyright 02-17-2006

Age Rating: 10 to 127

My days are quickly turning into night,
And life is passing right before my eyes,
I see the many errors that I've made,
And times that I have acted out of pride.
I see the many people that I've hurt,
And know that they will never be the same,
And though they are the authors of their fate,
I know that I will always share the blame.
And now my time on earth is growing short,
And soon I'll stand before my God above,
To answer for the things that I have done,
As from His throne He rules in truth and love.
The things I've done, to Him I now commit,
And to His holy justice I submit.

The things I would change if I had known then what I know now! Yet the past is the past and the future is the future. Life has taught me many lessons and the greatest lesson I have learned is to love as I wish to be loved and to act as I wish others would act.I cannot change others, but I can change me! I want to be someone others think of fondly. I hope my existence brings many smiles and few frowns! Thank you for this reminder and for you my friend! Anthony

I imagine that we are all guilty of hurting others as we live life. I think it inevitable.
Therefore, if we all do it, then there must also be a balance in the end.
As to what happens after death is a moot point.

This hit's home, it sinks deep into the conscience at least it does mine and I am certain it does other's if their honest with self. It definitely raises the question we all must, inevitably, at some point in our life ask:
How responsible for our own fate are we, and how broad is the scope of the forgiveness thereof we must ask.

Yes, David, we always seem to be paying for our indiscretions and mistakes, whether in this life or the next! James van Praagh (the noted psychic and seer) has said that we will feel the same hurt in the next life we caused to those in this life! There's enough blame to go around! Nice way of puting it into verse.
