Of morning dew and maiden fair
Of shining eyes and raven hair
With the fae’s blood she chose his fate
King of the Bretons, she surly now hates
She sends him a rose, coloured blood red
Before that curse, she lay in his bed
Of this bold union, lines would cross
Where, in the flowing of time, many were lost
As the fair city crumbled, the vision of light
She cursed his name through darkest night
She wrought destruction, which was her wrath
She divided destiny, reshaped the past
Of Fae she was born, thus did not die
Her magick’s true power was found in her eye
Now upon her isle, the King will lay
And that is the story of Morrighan le Fae
((Yay, I fixeded it! ^_^ Thanks to Richard and David...and Debra too. And I shall include a brief, but informative, blurb on Morrighan le Fae. Also known as Morgan le Fae, King Arthurs half sister. This poem explord the aspect of the myth that Morgan seduced Arthur and from that union, Mordred was born...hence the 'fair city crumbling'. There are a lot of conflicting stories about her, and I don't want to put too much lest I bore someone ^_^ I hope that explains who she is! -scatters mini chips ahoy!'s about-
