Incredible write. Well written. However, I rather have time ahead of me.This way I can look one day at a time and miss not one memory. Incredible write.
We might as well go at our own pace, for we can never catch time. It will always to its own thing.
I think we all need to learn this lesson, just slow down, let time do what it does best, running on ahead.
Time really doesn't control us. Time goes on without thought and we are the ones that think about it and not it us! You live your life one day at a time, plan for what you might need or want in the future, but no one knows how long or short time will be. Grab hold sometimes the ride is quick and sometimes you can walk beside the train and move ahead, but do live in the moment, because in a moment, the moment is gone! Good poem, Anthony
Hello Regina: Time - our great enemy. It ticks away and we come closer to our destiny. Your poem underscores this brutal fact, resonating and powerful. You provide the knock-out punch in the end. Very good!
"I beat it like a red-headed step-child" is an awesomely evocative and original image of someoneone trying to beat Time, an exhausting miserable exercise in futility that saps the life out of oneself. This work reminds me that Time is a human invention and a form of self-inflicted bondage that keeps one from living in the moment.
Nice write!
