I'm a Dreamer
by Alma H. (Age: 15)
copyright 03-08-2006

Age Rating: 7 to 127

I dream of love, boys, and life.
I go to lots of places, most, nightlife.
Dreams amaze me, others scare me.
I don't always now where they will take me.

Love, dreams of life.
They are the ones that come the most.
Boys of all kinds, picking one is a strife.
You aren't always, in your love dreams, the host.

Boys, the ones you like.
Some even in dreams say 'Take a hike'
They aren't always the meanest,
but they aren't always the nicest.

Life, you wish it lasts.
It is the scariest type of dreams you have.
They tell you a story of your life,
for the future and from the past.

Dreams, I have them all the time.
Nothing is stopping me from having them.
I enjoy some but not all, most are of boys.
Most make a lot of noise.
You never know what will happen in your dreams,
I love the suspense, that's why I'm a dreamer.

I started recording my dreams summer of last year. :) I dropped it when school started since I didn't have enough time in the mornings, but I want to start doing it again this summer. Personally, I do a lot of dreaming and I've concluded in some minor way most of the time your dreams will relate to something you did that day. I, never dream of boy though...than again you're talking to anti-romance person here.

Anyway, this is a good piece! And (huzzah!) you capitalized the title properly! There's a few lines you didn't capitalize, but it's a big improvement! Must be nice to only have 20 poems up...I have 93 or something, so people get afraid! We all dream, whether we remember them or not, we all get our share of weird ones, good ones, bad ones, nightmares, and just down right freaky ones about immortal baby chicken the size of our thumbnails...that was my mother's dream though, with the baby chicken... Good work, keep writing!

spoeken like a girl way beyond her years. I love your work and your thoughts. I hope that my daughters are as smart and talented as you are someday. Tammy

I really liked this, you're a really good writer and have a lot of talent. Not many people can put stuff into words like you can great job!

Like every teenage girl (and every other woman) we dream of what we want, how we want it and when we want it. This is good, just like the rest of your poems/songs.
