Blank lines
Lines waiting for my inspiration
My long-gone and dead inspiration
I poise my pen at the margin;
Waiting for words to come
Dead words
My inspiration is gone; gone with hope
Hope fades as does my inspiration
My pen's ink dries out
My hand freezes
Gone with my inspiration
All there is before me, are blank notebook pages
So common
So many have seen them
Just plain old notebook pages
These simple lines that sit before me...
How can something look so simple when life is so complex?
These blank lines waiting for inspiration...
Inspiration that is far gone...
I know it's true as I stare at these,
Blank lines

Inspiration is never gone. Take a walk in unfamiliar territory, alone. Look at other's perspective on life. Look at flowers and imagine what real life things you can see in your head, and so on. And stay emotional. One can only do one's b est when writing with emotion, passion, for anything or anybody. This was one of your best poems. It had much emotion. and had very good rhythm and structure.

Well-done pikurusu-chan,

Riki-san

P.S. Here's a great, great book for you. You can get it at Amazon.com:

This is a very good poem, but always remember, inspiration will never come of you go looking for it, but it will find you when you least expect it. But very good work!

Whoa! I'm the first to comment and this is a great poem, loosing inpiration to draw or write is just terrible! :( I can see a person just sitting at a desk with crumpled up paper all over the floor and a blank sheet of paper in front of them, You're a good writer (I said this about 1753 times but you are!) and you have to keep writing! (and I also said this a bazillion times!)
