For the Love of My Friend
by Euna P. (Age: 15)
copyright 03-19-2006

Age Rating: 7 to 127

If you need help
anytime, anywhere
you can count on me
to always be there.

It doesn't matter
if you're near or far
I'll do my best
to be where you are.

If you happen to fall
and are in need of a hand
I will be there
to help you best I can.

Don't worry my friend
I won't be far today
if you need help
I'm just a phone call away.

If you need any help
day or night
I'll do all I can
to make it alright.

Be it homework or family
just pick up the phone
I want you to know
that you're never alone.

So my dear friend
don't you ever forget
that wherever I am
I remember you yet.

In memory's golden casket
drop a shining pearl for me

This poem is dedicated to all my friends at my school. Thanks guys! You're always there for me, so I'll try to return the favor to the max.

You are blessed beyond measure to have friends at school. There is nothing more miserable than a poor child who has none.
God bless,

Ahhh, such a beautiful, meaningful, and very flowing piece. I always try to help my friends, whether it be needing help with homework to deciding what collage they want to go to.And everything in the middle. Including helping my love-sick friend with the perv she knows who I call Milk Carton and telling her to focus on reality before she goes hopping off to I-Want-A-Boyfriend.com. I myself, usually hid all my pain and fears deep inside of my heart... I try not to burden my friends with my problems even though I don't mind when they ask me for help. This is a great poem and I hope to see more soon!

May the divine darkness be with you,

A little repetitive, yet, otherwise a very good dedication piece.

VERY beautiful. A few rhymes sounded a bit forced, but overall, amazing. The last few lines... How to describe? Stunning, shimmering, outstanding... And to think you're only 13! I wish I could write something like this. Rhyming isn't my forté though, so no rhyming poems for Sam! Heh.

Hey! Where did you get that last bit at the bottom of the page about 'memory's golden casket' shudddder... I love it!
It makes you think twice about how we stow away our memories.. do we bury them? a GOLDEN casket on the other hand, seems to be meant for display.. treasured, not forgotton, but gazed upon as something beautiful.
Very nice. Is it yours?

Very nice sentiment. Your friends are blessed to have you as a friend. You have put your thoughts down carefully in rhyme and rhythm..
I will email some ideas, only because you asked! :) I am flattered.. Debbie
